Reactivated Training

February 5, 2010 Reactivated Training Log

In the summer I did some action shots for the women of theSunflower Squad which is Niagara’s largest women’s cycling team. Their goal is to promote and encourage women to participate at all levels and ages,to reach their goals in cycling within a supportive atmosphere. My sister in law and niece have been members of the squad for the past few years and love the time out on the trails and I have seen a huge improvement in their riding and fitness levels. At this time I had the chance to meet Jenny Brown of Reactivated.ca. and the founder and head coach of the Sunflower Squad, personal trainer, former pro-elite mountain bike racer, former elite road racer and a list that keeps on going and going. On Wednesday I had our first in home session with Jenny and let me tell you she doesn’t go easy on you.

My goal with this section of my blog is to talk about my program and to show the results you can get with out going to a gym, and to talk about the challenges and how I work with Jenny to get around them. So far she has sat down with Renée and I talked about what our barriers were and has now put a program together for us to over come them and move forward. My goal in the end of all of this is to be back on my bike by the spring, improve my fitness and to shed some unwanted pounds as a result of my work with Jenny.

Here are the starting pictures that Jenny took of me on Wednesday. My starting weight is 272lbs the biggest I have been in 5 years, and not something I am proud of.
